A Wedding at Terroni

Thanks to The Wedding Co. for featuring this wedding! You can see it here: http://www.theweddingco.com/a-wedding-at-terroni

Like most of my sweet couples, Emily and Jeff wanted a wedding day that was relaxed and full of love, ending in a fabulous party with friends and family. They wanted to keep the photo time minimal and so we did just that. A few minutes, here and there in great light was all we needed.  No lists, no multiple locations, no fuss. The rest is an archive of the day, full of love, beauty, friends & family.

They enjoyed a fabulous cocktail party style reception at the downtown Terroni Couthouse.

Francesca and Ryan (my tonic for Blue Monday)

It's "Blue Monday" today and I suppose that means that we're in the throws of the deepest darkest, post-holiday days of Winter. It seemed fitting to blog a wedding that I've been wanting to share for a long time and it couldn't be more Summer! Something to remind us that it's getting brighter and the now frozen buds will bloom. It won't be long.

When I met designers Francesca and Ryan, it was clear that they wanted every detail of their day to reflect them. They designed, sewed, painted and planned every last detail themselves and documenting all of this was one of their main wishes.

They found me and knew that I would be as passionate about it as them. It was true! Here are just a few...

The little things...

I wanted to share this wonderful home made , completely DYI and down to earth, birthday party. It was all boys. Sort of  a Moonrise Kingdom vibe with all the details completely hand built and sewn with love by one incredible mom !

From the hand made pinata filled with toys and chinese drums, the tee pee, crowns, decor and loot swag to the healthy snacks, cucpcakes ...

and mimosas for the parents!

It was just perfect and on the first warm day we've seen here in Toronto in what seems like a year!

So special to be able to archive the smaller events in life as well as the big ones!

The summer is flying by way too quickly but it's been amazing!! I can't wait to have the time to post a few more of the wonderful weddings from this year so far !

I have such fantastic, creative and lovely clients!

As you might know, I take only 15 commissions per year and I have only a few dates left for 2013 already!

Stay tuned and enjoy you summer! xo Laura Jane
